Tersefanou
Tersefanou is located around 10 minutes drive from the city of Larnaca on the southern coast of Cyprus. It is easily accessed from either the motor way exit at the Klavia junction or from Larnaca via the village of Kiti. Until a number of years ago this was a very traditional small Cypriot community with a handful of tavernas, a school, town hall and church, however talk of a proposed golf course, on its outskirts, has changed the outlying landscape and created great interest in this beautiful but fairly unknown village. Today Tersefanou still retains a very Cypriot feel with life very much as it has been for many years with little sign of the impact that mass tourism brings to many areas that it touches in the Mediterranean. The centre of the village, although enhanced in the last couple of years, still retains its traditional coffee shops and the small grocery traders show no signs of concern over the forthcoming presence of the commercial interest that will no doubt arrive with the golf course. The village really is a step back in time to old Cyprus with traditional wood shutters on flat roofed single story homes. The town hall is at the centre of the village with the splendid village churches adjacent to it. Mass development has occurred around the village mainly in the way of apartments on large complexes with investors eager to capture the potential golfing community when construct of the course takes place. Hope fully the village will retain much of its laid back Cypriot charm even under the weight of visitors and financial interest over the next couple of years.

Kiti
Just 2 kilometers away from Tersefanou is the delightful historic village of Kiti. With ease of access to Larnaca, with its shopping and lively cosmopolitan night life, Kiti has developed quickly over the last four or five years. Almost anything that the resident, traveler or holiday maker could need is here. With banks, supermarkets, bars and restaurants this village has become increasingly popular with the local Cypriot community as well as foreign investors and those relocating from overseas. The ancient church is a must for all visitors and also a splendid place to relax in its wonderful garden.
On the road between Tersefanou and Kiti there is two attractions that may well appeal to all the family. One is the lavish garden centre with its array of plants and shrubs set behind its own mini animal farm where there are numerous animals from the exotic to familiar. The garden centre is well sign posted and has its own refreshment café. Opposite the garden centre is an adventure playground with numerous attractions for all the family.

A short drive from Kiti is the small village of Pervolia with its numerous tavernas set around the relaxed square. Here you can eat, drink and enjoy traditional Cypriot entertainment in the street cafes and restaurants. With the splendid village church as its focal point this is perhaps a look back at Cyprus as it was prior to the increase in tourism in the past few years. The road from the square leads down to the coast and here there are marvelous views from the cape along unspolit beaches.
